Workshops
Make your own fresh Christmas wreath with us at Weyhill this year, and carry it home ready for the front door.
Our wreath workshops are small, relaxed and completely beginner friendly. You do not need any experience and you do not need to bring a thing. We put the frame, the foliage, the trimmings and the tools on the table, show you how we make the wreaths we sell in the shop, then help at your shoulder while you build yours.
Groups are kept small so there is always time for a proper answer to your question, and everything you make is yours to take home. More workshops will follow in the new year, wreaths come first.
Dates for this Christmas are being finalised
We will be running evening and weekend sittings at the shop through late November and early December. As soon as the dates are set they will go up here, and everyone on the interest list hears by email first.
The Christmas wreath workshop
Around 2.5 hours · small groups · at the Weyhill shop
A proper wreath, made the way we make them for the shop, on a real frame rather than a glued ring. You will learn how to build up foliage so the wreath sits full and even, then dress it your way from the table of trimmings: cones, dried orange, cinnamon, berries and ribbon.
No two wreaths leave the same, and looked after it will still be going strong into the new year. Tea, coffee and something festive to nibble are on us.

What is included
Everything for your wreath
The frame, moss, fresh spruce and mixed foliage, plus a full table of cones, dried fruit and ribbon.
Tools on the table
Snips, wire, twine and an apron. Bring nothing but yourself.
Small groups
Taught by our own florists, who make wreaths for the shop every day of the season.
Yours to take home
You leave with your wreath ready to hang, plus tea, coffee and something festive while you work.
Wreaths from our workshop
A few of the styles we make at Weyhill, from traditional and berried to frosted and modern. Yours will be your own take.

Private wreath evenings
Book the whole table and make it your own night. Friends and family, birthdays, WI and gardening clubs, and work Christmas dos with a difference. We will run a private wreath workshop on a date that suits you, at the shop or at your venue for larger groups.
- Weekday evenings, Saturday afternoons and Sundays by arrangement
- Bring your own drinks and nibbles, or we will sort mulled wine and mince pies for a little extra
- Numbers, dates and pricing all agreed with you before anything is booked

Give a place as a present
A workshop place makes a lovely present, and it lasts longer than a bunch of flowers. Tell us who it is for and we will sort a gift card by post or email, so they can take their pick when the dates go up.

Questions people ask
- When will the dates go up?
- Early autumn. The moment they are set they will be on this page, and everyone on the interest list gets an email before they go anywhere else.
- Do I need any experience?
- None at all. Most people who come have never made a wreath before, and the evening is built for that. If you have made one and want to push on, say so and we will stretch you.
- Can I come on my own?
- Plenty of people do, and it is a friendly couple of hours around one table. You will not be the only one there by yourself.
- How long will my wreath last?
- Made on fresh foliage and kept outside on the door, it should look good right through Christmas and into the new year. We will show you how to keep it at its best.
- Can I bring a drink?
- Yes. Tea, coffee and something festive are on us. Bring a bottle if you would like one, or ask us to sort mulled wine for a private group.
- Do you run wreath evenings for businesses?
- We do, both here and at your premises. A wreath evening makes a good staff or client Christmas do. Get in touch with rough numbers and a date and we will quote it.
Be first to hear about dates
Leave your details and we will email you the dates before they go up anywhere else. For private evenings, give us rough numbers and a couple of dates that might work.
